Puah Sze Ning is a freelance documentary photographer/ videographer.
She begun photography in late 2005 when she interned with the Center for Orang Asli Concerns (COAC)
, a resource center for the indigenous minority peoples of Peninsular Malaysia. After many exposure trips to rural areas in Malaysia, she picked up photography and videography for documentation purposes.
On-going video projects with COAC (near completion) includes a community-based documentary project with the indigenous communities from Sabah (Borneo).
Apart from documentation work with COAC, she's also the field coordinator for Elevyn.com
, a social enterprise she helped conceptualize which connects buyers to indigenous and marginalized craftmakers.
